Why I Got a Pixe Cut

The reasoning behind my pixie cut is that I absolutely hated my haircut before I got it done, and it was way beyond help.  In early 2012 my hair was long, glorious, curly, and my natural red color.  For some reason I didn't like it so I cut it to about chin in May length with weird layers and that just did not go well so I wore my hair up every day for months.  Then over the fall months, I got even more layers (my first mistake) and bleached my hair (the clincher).  Now, if you don't have red hair, you might not know that bleaching red hair will only make it yellowish/orange if you don't use a toner, which I didn't.  So that was bad.  Then in December I dyed it brown, which was good for a couple weeks before it faded and I dyed it black, and then it faded again and I ended up with what you see below:

This is the closest I have to a before picture.  On a good day in decent lighting, my hair looked glorious (right), but almost every other day of my life, my hair looked reaaaallyyy gross (left).

Here's the first pictures I took of my pixie in March this year.  Looking back, it doesn't look so bad, but at the time I hated it almost as much as the cut I had before.

So, basically I decided to try the pixie because I wanted to grow out my natural color again!
Here's the most glorious my hair has ever been, circa 2011 senior prom:
(Yes, my boyfran is a ging as well)
